​​Hi, I’m Eve.
I am a clinical psychologist and psychoanalytic psychotherapist. I initially did my training through the WITS circuit and have experience in both private and public healthcare. I have further honed my skills through my membership and participation in the South African Psychoanalytic Initiative and the Institute of Psychoanalytic Child Psychotherapy. Practicing psychoanalytically essentially means that I believe in the concept on the unconscious and aim to make the unknown self, known. This also means that I prefer to work in a long-term format where in-depth work can be done without the pressure of a time limit.
I value warmth, authenticity, and integrity. I became a psychologist out of a deep desire to create a life of meaning and to commune with people in the most transparent and honest way possible. I believe that in bearing witness to another person’s pain I also gain an incredible opportunity to be in true connection with another human being.
